Description
Noticed I did not have this submitted here. I used to have a Sailor pocket pen until I traded it for this Long Murex with a date code of October 1978.
It's like the Pilot Myu series except it has a ribbed section which is better for longer writing sections, and the nib is flatted on top to a shelf which helps prevent ink from flowing back down to the grip and helping prevent the fingers from getting too close to the front. It's also longer than the Myu-701, but still easily pocketable.
Takes standard Pilot Cartridges or a typical Con-20 squeeze converter (won't accept a con-50 piston converter though, but most of the compact/skinny Pilot Pens don't).
This is pretty much my everyday carry (EDC) inked with Noodler's Blue Steel, writes like a Japanese Extra-Fine even though the nib is marked <F>. The nib as you may have noticed is one integrated piece.
Can see a shot of it disassembled here (which is easily done without tools, unlike the 70s Elite that needs a special tool to unscrew the nipple from the section)
